About Erika
I completed my Master of Social Work degree at Columbia University in 2006. Since then, I have worked in the fields of aging, disability and dementia services, caregiver support and training, and hospice and palliative care. I have extensive experience as a medical social worker and have also held leadership roles in large healthcare systems. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Dementia Support Northwest and am a member of the Advance Care Planning Task Force in Whatcom County.
I am a Washington State Licensed Advanced Social Worker and trained Dignity Therapy© practitioner. I also hold certifications from the National Association of Social Work and the Center to Advance Palliative Care. My combined clinical and healthcare administration experience gives me a unique lens for how to help my clients navigate complex health and social services systems.
Outside of work I enjoy adventuring in the great outdoors with my partner Dan, maintaining an active social life with family and friends, and baking cakes, cookies, and other desserts to bring a little more sweetness into the world.
